Who we are looking for
We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Finance Manager to join our growing startup as our first in-house finance hire. The successful candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end finances of both the US and India operations for RapidCanvas and work with a number of extended team members like CAs, consultants, etc. Will own the overall financial health and success of the company.
Role and Responsibilities
Will be responsible for overseeing the company's financial activities, providing strategic insights, and supporting decision-making across our global operations. This role requires a combination of financial planning, analysis, and management skills. Key responsibilities will include:
- Strong bookkeeping skills
- Financial reporting - reviewing and managing monthly documents
- Compliance Management - with international financial regulations and reporting requirements
- Support fundraising efforts and investor relations activities
- Banking - monthly remittance follow-ups, etc.
- Account reconciliations for bank accounts and credit card statements
- Accounts receivable and accounts payable management
- Financial statement and custom reporting
- Financial & operational reporting
- Cash flow analysis and plan
- Financial & management analysis
- Budget development & monitoring
- Tax strategies
- Board & investor presentation & reporting
- Cost & cash flow management
- Vendor bill payment
- Sales invoicing
- Contract process
- Compliance review/enforcement (e.g. PCI, SOC2, etc.)
Key Skills Required
- 5+ years of combined experience managing finances both in India and US
- Knowledge of US financial systems, reporting, etc
- Self-starter who is always looking to improve outcomes
- MBA in Finance or professional certification such as CA/CPA is preferred.
- Knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS will be a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in financial management or analysis, preferably in a startup or global environment
- Strong understanding of international financial practices and regulations
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling
- Strong communication skills in English; ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and high accountability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
